Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite for Bluetooth
The Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite for Bluetooth is the ultimate Bluetooth device for your computer.
Wireless keyboard and mouse that uses non-bluetooth (like infra-red or other proprietary standards) are
usually only effective up to 2 meters and the signal is easily blocked by objects. Bluetooth, on the
other hand, can travel through walls.
Some important information about this technology:
- You should use rechargeable AA size batteries because Bluetooth devices uses up battery faster than infra-red types.
- The keyboard (and mouse) can only bind to one computer at a time, so you can't use it to control two machines.
- If the keyboard runs out of batteries, you will need a separate non-Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to re-activate the Bluetooth keyboard (or mouse).
